The Centre runs a number of Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and British Canoeing Courses in a variety of water sports; all courses are run by qualified instructors at the recommended National Governing Body ratios.
Note: Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, the centre will be shut until the end of May. At which time we will review the situation.
Do you want to learn how to sail a dinghy? why not come and try dinghy sailing around Queens Dock learning how to rig your boat, launch your craft and sail across the dock, learning to sail up and down wind and return safely to the centre and derig your boat. We have a number of craft available for you to try out.
If you want to try windsurfing our sheltered dock is ideal for beginners to learn the basics.
Enjoy the thrill and excitement of powerboating with an RYA level 1 or 2 course! The docks are ideal to learn basic boat handling skills. The course is a mix of theory and practical on our tornado 5m rib.
We also deliver the safety boat course over 2 days.
If you require a refresher 1 to 1 tuition for an hour or two we can arrange that here at the centre with our boats.
Do you want to try a new hobby and learn the fundamentals of paddle sport.
Our sheltered location in Queens Dock is ideal to learn the basics of kayaking or canoeing or Stand Up Paddleboarding.
