Learn, Play, & Make a Splash!

Liverpool Watersports Centre offers a range of activities, both for individuals and groups.

You can learn a new skill in either sailing, kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding or powerboating being taught by one of our instructors. Equipment can also be hired on an hourly basis in our Pay & Play sessions.

Our Activities

Our Courses

The centre runs a number of Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and British Canoeing Courses. All courses are run by qualified instructors at the recommended National Governing Body ratios.

Our hourly sessions start at:

•   9:30am,

•   10:45am,

•   12pm

•   1pm

•   2:15pm

•   3:30pm.

Later sessions in the summer months can be arranged.

Swan Pedalos

We operate Swan Pedalos from our centre in Queens Dock. These are available to rent for £20 for 30 minutes and can be booked online.

You'll be able to enjoy a spectacular view of the waterfront and experience it with up to 4 people- fun for all the family.

Kayaks & Canoes

Our Kayak and Canoe sessions allow you to experience the docks like you've never seen them before.

You can learn the fundamentals with one of our instructors who will guide you through the basic techniques showing you how to launch, paddle forwards, turning ,stopping and how to get out without capsizing!

You may even paddle through the dock system into the Albert Dock and Enjoy the thrill and excitement of back if the conditions allow.

Powerboating

Enjoy the thrill and excitement of powerboating whilst taking in the views of the Liverpool docks.

We offer 1 hour fun rides around the Liverpool dock system in our 5 metre tornado rib 75HP, it can take up to 4 persons at a time.

We also deliver the Royal Yachting Association level 1 and 2 powerboat courses and we offer 1 to 1 tuition in our boats.

Aqua Park

Our Aqua Park is great for individuals or groups such as families, work colleagues, friends, children and schools.

You can race your friends on the inflatable track climbing over the obstacles & have a quick bounce upon the trampoline before racing onto the extreme slide or jumping off the jungle gym.

Stand Up Paddleboarding

Stand Up Paddleboarding is the fastest growing watersports and it’s quite easy to pick up.

You can paddle through the dock system into Liverpool's Royal Albert Dock and back, working on core fitness, strength and general larking about on the water.

Wheelyboat

Our Wheelyboat is an accessible powerboat with roll-on, roll-off access for up to 4 adults and 4 wheelchairs.

It offers flexible seating, an open level deck and a watertight bow door that lowers to form a solid ramp for easy and safe wheelchair friendly access.

Open Water Swimming

Open water swimming is a brilliant way to get fit, reduce stress, meet new like minded people and have fun.

Even better, at Liverpool Watersports Centre, you'll have the opportunity to swim in Liverpool's historic docks.

Sailing

Liverpool Watersports Centre offers Dinghy Sailing and Windsurfing to people of all abilities both adults and children.

Our sailing fleet include a Drascombe longboat, Wayfarer, Picos, Toppers and Oppies.
